Berta Maria Moldoveanu is a 4th grader at the "Nicolae Tonitza" Music and Plastic Arts School from Barlad. At only 12 years of age, she has an unbelievble record, becoming a real prodigy child between the romanian painters, as the art chronicles state.
"At Berta Maria Moldoveanu's eleven years, the exposition at the "Gh. Asachi" library in Iasi, is pleasently surprising and at the same time, the elocvence for the young painter's capacity to define as a creator of beauty with all of the profession's atributes... If, for instance, we would not have at reach a catalog with her work exposed, from which we would find out we are dealing with a child, we would strongly believe that we have been granted the privilege of witnessing a maturity exhibition... The barladian landscapes have picturesque, consistency, cromatics, grace and harmony. She knows how to work on dominants, she knows how to make generous attunes."

"In Mariea's paintings, the flower and the season landscapes themes are predominant. At her age, she starts with a certain artistic maturity, a thing which is rarely encountered. Usually children start in painting with the water techinque. The oil paintings is much more difficult because it requires more qualities, but Maria has them in full. Why not hope that in the future she will be a name in the romanian plastic?!"

Berta Maria Moldoveanu started painting at the age of 7, under the influence of the renound professor Eugen Iftene. He has already designed for her a path in life, giving her the opportunity to build her own identity in the art world.
With work, passion, sensibility and love for the beautiful, Berta Maria eternalized nature in all of her season, knowing to relate colour with theme and atmosphere. The landscapes, the flowers, the churches, the monastaries, the village tobies are her favourites.

Berta Maria has had until now 6 personal expositions in which she has had over 180 oil paintings, and she has also took part in 30 group exhibitions in the country and over the borders(France, Belgium). Her works have won numerous national and international Competitions.
Berta's paintings are known between the art lovers. Up until now, she has paintings in collections in France, Turkey, Canada, and of course, Romania.
